Rider, Tujague exchange vows during May evening ceremony

Katie Renee Rider and Aaron Conner Tujague were united in a Nuptial ceremony on Friday, May 23 at 7 p.m. in the evening at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Reverend Father Thomas Voorhies officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Leslie Brown Rider, Sean Rider, and step-daughter of Amy Rider, all of Eunice.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. Terry Brown and the late Mrs. Frances “Lulu” Sabatier Brown. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. George Howard Rider, and the late Ms. Wanda Rozas Rider.
The groom is the son of Elaine “Layne” Cormier, the late Leon Tujague, III, and step-son of Dwayne Cormier, all of Eunice. His maternal grandparents are Iris Roy Diesi, late Jack Wayne Benson, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Tujague, Jr.
Given in marriage, by her father, the bride wore a gown designed by Allure. The gown was a fit and flare ivory duchess silk satin with a lace overlay, with a beautifully embellished jeweled satin ribbon at the waist. She wore a veil with lace trim. She carried a gathered bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas.
The maids of honor were Katie Fruge, bride’s friend and Caroline Brown, bride’s cousin.
The bridesmaids were Alyse Cormier, groom’s sister; Bryxane Cormier, groom’s sister; Carlissa Tujague, groom’s sister-in-law; Margeaux Tujague, groom’s sister-in-law; Milly Rider, bride’s sister-in-law; and Anna Duplechin, bride’s cousin.
The bridesmaids wore dresses of blush Tiffany chiffon with a pleated empire waist and A-line skirt completed the look. They carried hand-held bouquets of white, blush, vendella roses, and violet and white hydrangeas.
The best man was Taylor Tujague, groom’s brother.
The groomsmen were Kolt Nezat, groom’s friend; William Feucht, groom’s friend; Seth Tujague, groom’s brother; Hunter Tujague, groom’s brother; Sean-Michael Rider, bride’s brother; Dustin Jenkins, groom’s friend; and Jon Seth Guillory, groom’s friend.
The flower girl was Lia Tujague, daughter of Hunter and Margeaux Tujague.
The ring bearers were Parker Tujague, son of Seth and Carlissa Tujague, and Carson Hebert, son of Mia Guillory.
Ushers were Kade Turner, Blaise Bellard, Tracy Fontenot, and Philip Fontenot, all friends of the groom.
Readers were Terry Brown, godfather of the bride, and Brent Benson, godfather of the groom.
The music for the ceremony included vocalist Jodi Bollich.
For her daughter’s wedding, Ms. Rider chose a lavender flowing gown of silk with a beaded neckline which included a shawl.
The groom’s mother wore a champagne, lace, strapless dress with rosette flowers across the bosom and down the front to midway. A short, chiffon jacket with bell sleeves finished the look.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to an enchanted evening at the Point-Aux Loups Springs Ball Room in Iota.
The bride’s cake was an antique ivory and multi-tiered with intricate lace work with hydrangeas and roses that crowned the top. The groom’s cake was made in the shape of a large fish.
The bride and groom departed through a tunnel of sparklers as they entered their limousine. They spent their honeymoon in Jamaica and will reside in Youngsville.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and McNeese State University and currently works for Schumacher Group in Lafayette.
The groom is a graduate of St. Edmund High and University of Louisiana. He is currently employed at Coastal Chemical in Broussard.
