Woman allegedly attempted to pass forged Lortab prescription at pharmacy

Eunice Police arrested a woman and charged her with forgery after she allegedly attempted to obtain a legend narcotic with a fake prescription.

At 12:52 p.m. Monday, a Fred’s Discount Store pharmacist called police, saying that a woman was attempting to fill a forged prescription for Lortab.

The pharmacist became suspicious, police said, because of discrepencies in the prescription, and called the prescriber to verify it.

The pharmacist was able to delay the woman until police arrived to take her into custody.

Lacy Miller, 26, of 551 Wayne Road, was charged with forgery.
