Acadia Parish sheriff’s report includes drug arrests

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon announced the following recent arrests that were made by agents with Acadia Parish Narcotic Task Force.
Roderick Benoit Jr., 30, Morse arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $17,500.
Nicholas Simar, 18, and Jonathan Simar, 22, both of Branch. Arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana. Bond was set at $5,000 each.
Jasper White, 20, Rayne arrested and charged with contraband in a penal institution. Bond set at $5,000.
Shanquilla Chapman, 35, Crowley, arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and contraband in a penal institution. Bond set at $7,500.
David Chaisson Jr., 18, Crowley, arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, crack cocaine and alprazolam and monies derived from illegal activities. Bond set at $6,500.
Christopher Romero, 23, Morse, arrested and charged with contraband in a penal institution and possession of alprazolam. Bond set at $7,000.
Bobby Bourque, 32, Basile, arrested and charged with possession of suboxone. Bond set at $2,000.
Wilbert White, 27, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of marijuana. Bond set at $10,000.
Sidney Julian Jr., 23, Crowley, arrested and charged with two counts of distribution of marijuana. Bond set at $20,000.
Michael Reed, 32, Crowley, arrested and charged with introduction of contraband in a penal institution. Bond set at $10,000.
Omar Washington, 27, Rayne, arrested and charged with introduction of contraband in a penal institution. Bond set at $1,000.
Jamie Broussard, 34, Kaplan, arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $1,000.
Bryan Dupont, 23, Iota, arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Bond set at $10,000.
Agents assisted Church Point police with the following arrest: Traveon Mcnulty, 25, Church Point, simple possession of marijuana.
