Deputies looking for puppies want your help

Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating10 bully pit puppies that were taken from the 1000 block of West Plaquemine in Church Point.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon his office received a complaint on Dec. 7 regarding the theft of the puppies from a kennel located in the rear of the residence. Investigators advised that the puppies were possibly taken between the 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The puppies are three weeks old so their return is important for their survival. They are described as being chocolate in color.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tyler Broussard at 788-8720. A $1,000 reward is being offered for their safe return.
