Eunice woman accused of $86,000 theft from Acadia Parish construction company

A Eunice woman has been arrested following an investigation into the theft of more than $86,000 from a construction company located in Acadia Parish.
Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon said his office received a complaint and request to conduct an investigation into the matter on Oct. 13.
Following an investigation into the incident, investigators obtained a warrant of arrest for 31-year-old Tricia Hebert of the 2900 block of Tepetate Road, Eunice.
Hebert was charged with felony theft and her bond was set at $100,000 by Commissioner Thomas Frederick.
She was arrested without incident and placed in the parish jail.
Melancon stated that Hebert is alleged to have taken more than $86,000.
