Small Business Administration ready to help businesses, residents affected by flooding

Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to Louisiana businesses and residents as a result of President Obama’s major disaster declaration, U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet announced.

Louisiana residents urged to register with FEMA

Louisiana disaster survivors are urged to register for federal disaster assistance with FEMA.
Individuals and business owners in the designated parishes who had severe storm or flood damage may register for assistance the following ways:

La. National Guard demonstrates disaster readiness

The Louisiana National Guard participated in a statewide disaster response exercise (DRX) designed to test the capabilities of various local, state and federal agencies Saturday.
