KEB urges community to clean up

“Working Together to Keep Eunice Beautiful” is the goal of Director Donna Baltakis as she encourages the entire community, including schools, businesses, individuals, in the clean up efforts and beautification of the city in recognition of Keep America Beautiful campaign. The LA Hospice organized cleaning of all four Welcome To Eunice signs, and those instrumental included Rose Campbell, administrator; Paul Schexnayder, patient care representative; and Toni Pitre, office manager. Mamou arrests

The Mamou Police Department reported five recent bookings into the town jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Dewayne Thomas, 22, 522 East St., Mamou, was charged March 11, with simple battery. Thomas bonded out of jail the same day.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
