Son of a legend making movie on Eunice icon

Gerry McGee in period costume and on location in Avoyelles Parish.

Eunice native Gerry McGee is a music legend to many in his hometown. He’s known as a session musician who has played and recorded with the likes of Elvis Presley, The Monkees, Bobby Darin, Roseanne Cash, The Ventures and Kris Kristofferson. McGee is well known for playing the guitar.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
