Dear Reader, a friend of mine sent the following letter by Troy Hebert to me. After studying it carefully, I realized that Troy is a problem solver and a man who has the courage of his convictions.

On Jan. 26, LSUE Chancellor Kimberly Russell submitted a plan to LSU for how the campus would deal with a possible $ $797,151 budget cut, but Thursday’s announcement that TOPS payments have been suspended will only bump up the day the campus is left in the lurch.

Gov. John Bel Edwards said LSU Eunice will close by April 30 if legislators fail to act on his plan to fix the state’s deficit-ridden budget.
And, there will be no LSU football season, he said.
