Eunice shines at Bear Paw Relays

CHURCH POINT – Eunice High’s Cole Prudhomme was named Outstanding Field Performer at the Bear Paw Relays as the Bobcats finished second at the Church Point meet.
The Crowley Gents won the meet with 110 points, followed by Beau Chene (72), Eunice (71.5), Oakdale (70), West St. Mary (43), Ascension Episcopal (30), Westminster (24.5), Port Barre (21), Church Point (12) and Rayne (10).
Prudhomme (20 points) won the shot put with a throw of 53-11 and the discus with a toss of 140-10.
Beau Chene’s Charlie Milton (21 points) was named Outstanding Track Performer.
Eunice’s Jordan Victorian finished second in the high jump (6-2), while Malik Poullard finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.98.
Ethan Briscoe finished third in the 3,200 meters with a time of 12:12.86.
Poullard, Ajyh Johnson, Bryce Pavich and Trevor Ceaser finished third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 45.34.
Lady Bobcat Clea Fransaw won the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.67 to help Eunice High finish second in the meet behind Westminster Christian Academy.
WCA won with 101.3 points, followed by EHS (69.3), Port Barre (53), Church Point (42), Beau Chene (40.3), Oakdale (34), Rayne (31), Ascension Episcopal (29), Wset St. Mary (25), Academy of Sacred Heart-Grand Coteau (20) and Crowley (17).
West St. Mary’s Naishyalyn Brown (22.5 points)was named Outstanding Track Performer, while Darian Phillips (12 points) from Oakdale was Outstanding Field Performer.
Saja Chevis, Fransaw, Kiarra White and Jyreh Johnson won the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 1:48.60.
Madison Guillory finished second in the discus (93-2), while Robbi Palmer finished second in the high jump (5-0).
Shelbie Cormier finished second in the pole vault with a leap of 8-0.
Beuhla Bradley, Kiarra White, Johnson and Hannah Jack finished third in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:48.60.
Eunice High will compete at the District 4-4A meet on Tuesday at Crowley.
