50th Wedding Anniversary celebrated

Logan Anthony Young of Eunice wedded Ethel Theresa Fontenot of Mamou on September 5, 1964 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou during a 10 a.m ceremony performed by Father J. LeBlanc.
On September 5, 2014 the couple chose to celebrate their 50th anniversary by having their marriage blessed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Dustin Dought officiating. The ceremony was attended by family and friends.
After the ceremony guests were treated to a sit-down catered dinner at Ruby’s Restaurant banquet room. An anniversary cake was designed by Myrtis Darbonne of Eunice.
The couple has 4 children: Brian Young of Mandeville, the late Jody Young, Danny Young of Eunice and Tracy Young of Youngsville.
They are grandparents of 7 and great-grandparents of three.
