'Every Hero Has A Story' at Eunice Public Library

The theme of Summer Reading StoryTime is “Every Hero Has A Story.” Keeping with the theme, the first StoryTime hour Wednesday had a special guest Steven Fontenot, a Eunice Firefighter operator. Fontenot gave a talk about his job duties and how fires are put out. He allowed questions from the group of children. Kids also enjoyed guest reader Bobbie Bordelon, children’s librarian, who read a storybook, ‘Firefighters To The Rescue!”, by Hamilton Kersten. Children received their own Firefighter head gear and enjoyed Hot Tamales as their snack. Door prizes of Firefighter ducks were given away. Each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. children can enjoy StoryTime hour at the library. (Photos by Myra Miller)
