StoryTime included 'Officer Buckle and Gloria'

StoryTime hour Wednesday included a book reading of, “Officer Buckle and Gloria,” by Rathmann, Peggy, and read by guest reader Susan Gaspard. Children also welcomed two visitors during the hour reading time, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot and Sgt. Sebastian Noel. The two officers spoke about their duties of how they “serve and protect” people of the community and how to stay safe. Fontenot gave each child a kid friendly coloring book “What Can I Do about Strangers,” and a honorary police badge sticker. During StoryTime hour Wednesday children had the opportunity to meet Eunice police officers and listened to what their job duties included. Police Chief Randy Fontenot, left, and Sgt. Sebastian Noel were guests during the reading program.
