Students and administration at Central Middle School recognized their teachers during a weeklong celebration, acknowledging them for their hard work and dedication. Each day, teachers were presented with tokens of appreciation as well as courtesy gifts and treats from local businesses.

Central Middle School’s cafeteria won St. Landry Parish School Cafeteria of the Year, two consecutive years running. Last year, Central’s cafeteria won the title earning new tables and chairs for the cafeteria. This year, the workers were rewarded new uniforms.
Central Middle School’s cafeteria manager Cheryl Stevens was recognized as St. Landry Parish Cafeteria Manager of the Year. In addition, she received recognition for perfect attendance as well as recognition for leading her entire staff recognition as Cafeteria of the Year for 2014-15.
Four students from East Elementary were recently selected to represent their school at the St. Landry Parish level Writing contest. Seated, from left, are Kensley Larose, placing in the top 10; and Anya Cesar, third graders.
