Central Middle students Recycle

Central Middle School students took on a Recyclable project after visiting and learning more about recycables during a recent field trip to The Solid Waste in Washington and Recycle Center in Opelousas. Each student crafted and created using recyclable materials for their own projects. At school a room was filled with poster boards and projects of robots, a Christmas tree, a small refrigerator, Dr. Pepper Box robot, milk jug owls and much more. Central Middle took on on a school-wide endeavor as a result of their experience during a recent field trip to Solid Waste in Washington and the Recycle Center in Opelousas. Fifth-graders completed phase 1 of the trip and sixth-grade students took the same field trip on Dec. 15 and 16.

A holiday treat for SLP board members

Gumbo and potato salad were on the menu recently as St. Landry Parish School Board members along with Superintendent Edward Brown and the professional staff were treated to a holiday meal following their December meeting.
