Mary Allison Williams celebrated her 90th birthday on July 4 at her home in Eunice with family and friends.
She enjoyed a luncheon of fried fish, crawfish etouffee, along with many side dishes, watermelon and a birthday cake.

Henry Hample, who recently won the 2014 Excellence Award from the Cajun French Music Association for his ongoing work as a Cajun music instructor, will begin a new semester of Cajun fiddle classes at Louisiana State University at Eunice on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Principal Dwanetta Scott welcomes Katie Murphy as its new kindergarten teacher at East Elementary. Murphy is a 2010 graduate of Church Point High, and recently earned her Bachelor’s degree of Science in Elementary Education from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
