The Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club recognized Arbor Day by donating and planting a red Arapaho Crape Myrtle tree at Eunice Junior High School campus. The tree was provided by Justin Fuselier of Coastal Prairie Nursery.

Annie Huckaby receiving an Award of Excellence from St. Landry Parish 4-H at Achievement Day for her outstanding participation and achievement during the last three years that she has been a 4-H member. Annie serves as the president of the St. Edmund Elementary 4-H Club.

Monetary donations were given to Eunice Elementary by the above students’ parents to help purchase various annual awards. These awards will be given on May 26 during the Awards Ceremony Program. From left are Taylor Langley, second-grader; Mary Dupre, principal; and Wyatt Moreau, first grader.

This week’s Student of the Week is Ra Pierre, a sixth-grader at Central Middle School. His parent is Alcenda Pierre.

If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in the Bahamas and enjoy their weather.
