St. Edmund High students, from left, Margaret Vidrine, Jami LeBouef and Victoria Heinen participated in the VFW-sponsored Voice of Democracy essay contest and placed. Vidrine won second in district; LeBouef placed third in district and Heinen won first in District and State.

Students at ECTEC (Eunice Career & Technical Education Center) are conscientious of the Keeping Eunice Beautiful campaign as they recycle newspapers and aluminum cans. Other Eunice schools participating include Eunice Jr. High, ECTEC, Eunice Elementary and St. Edmund.

The world of welding just got brighter for students at ECTEC. Recently students received a visit from representatives of the Tulsa Welding School and Lincoln Welding who brought a virtual welding display for students to practice their technique.

Students at St. Francis School were honored for being the top point earner in their grade level for the Accelerated Reading Program during third nine-week period. Also honored are those students who have reached a word count of over one million.
