These East Elementary students reached their Accelerated Reading goal of 50 points during third six weeks period. They were rewarded with a ribbon, certificate and pencil. From left are Katelyn Walker (third-grader), Alissia Johnson, Ava Devillier and Joshua Dozart, all fourth-graders.

The annual Eunice High School Bobcat Blast was held Saturday evening with attendees wearing the theme of the social “New Orleans Saints gold and black.” The fund-raiser event featured a steak with trimmings dinner, drawings, cash prizes, silent and live auction, and a dance provided by DJ Terry

The Eunice Players’ Theatre Board of Directors are preparing for their 44th Annual Irving Awards which honors all participants of the 2013 season. The awards ceremony will be held at the Northwest Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
