The American Legion Post 129 hosted and asked Msgr. Jeff J. DeBlanc, pastor of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, to speak to their association about his father, Captain Jefferson J. DeBlanc, who was a Medal of Honor recipient during WWII.
Mayor McDaniel proclaims Catholic School Week at St. Francis

St. Francis DARE graduation & essay winners
The fifth-grade class at St. Francis School recently participated in a DARE Graduation. Det. Cathy Savant of Acadia Parish Sheriff Department was guest speaker and made a DARE presentation. An essay contest was held in each class; Grace Simon and Madisun Lacombe were the winners.
