4-H Open Benefit Horse Show is Saturday

The St. Landry Parish 4-H Open Benefit Horse Show will be Saturday at the Opelousas Ag Arena on U.S. 190.
Books open at 8 a.m., and the show starts at 9 a.m. with halter. Event categories are halter showmanship, Western horsemanship, Western Pleasure, barrels, poles, stakes, trail, breakaway and team roping. Prizes will be awarded in these categories.
Age divisions are 13 and under, 14 to 18 and open. Entry fees are $10 per class plus a $10 cattle charge for the roping event. Exhibition events are $5 per run or $12 for three runs per event (barrels & poles)
There will be a concession stand, and no alcoholic beverages or ice chests are allowed.
