Acadia charges Eunice man with damage, vehicle burglary

Authorities in Acadia Parish have arrested a Eunice man following an investigation into an incident that was reported on April 23, 2014.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, his office received a call from a resident living in the 5700 block of the Eunice-Iota Hwy who reported criminal damage and burglary of a motor vehicle.
Through the investigation officers were able to obtain video surveillance footage from the homeowner. The suspect, Brandon Scott Darbonne, 29, of the 5300 block of the Eunice-Iota Hwy, Eunice was then identified and arrested without incident.
Melancon stated that Darbonne was placed in the Acadia Parish Jail charged with criminal damage to property and vehicle burglary. Commissioner Thomas Frederick set bond at $10,500.
