Chili's, Target? No .. Tractor Supply? Yes .. Others? Uncertain
Chili’s is not coming, and neither is Target.
Company spokespersons say neither of the above mentioned enterprises has any current plans to locate in Eunice.
Chili’s a franchise chain; Target is a Minneapolis-based enterprise.
What caused rumors of an alleged interest in Eunice is not known, but it didn’t take long for them to build momentum.
As for other rumors floating around town about business that might be locating in Eunice, there’s some definite information and a lot of speculation.
Tractor Supply is coming.
Its Customer Service Team can’t say where the outfit is going to locate.
And it is a little uncertain about when.
One contact initially said on or about March 28, 2015. A second contact said information she had indicated an October 2014 opening.
Neither person had any information regarding where. The smart money says somewhere on the west side of town, but how smart that is remains to be seen.
Walmart will not comment on whether it plans to bring one of its Walmart Express outlets here.
Supposedly, the company is interested in a site near Perry Pitre Ford.
The Bentonville, Ark.-based giant has no comment regarding any plans here or elsewhere, other than Mamou, where it is currently building an express outlet.
The Walgreen’s is coming mantra began anew in recent weeks perhaps fueled by developers inquiries regarding a tract at the corner of La. 13 and U.S. 190.
Walgreen’s, as it customary, has nothing to say.
The company has been an on-again, off-again prospect over the past six or seven years.
An established business, Eunice Superette, has begun work on a retail location on West Laurel.
