Cole declares police chief candidacy

Former Eunice police lieutenant Raymond “Bubba” Cole has officially announced he run for chief in the November primary.
Cole brings to three the number who have said they’ll seek the post -- already in are Chief Ronald Dies and City Court Probation Officer Randy Fontenot.
All three ran four years ago, with Dies winning a runoff over Fontenot.
Cole, a Eunice native, was on the city force for about 28 years.
He worked in many divisions, including 15 years as a supervisor.
