Concrete plant, drug store burglaries under investigation

Police are investing two commercial burglaries that occurred last week.
A safe was taken over the weekend from Babineaux Concrete.
Police said it contained a substantial amount of cash and firearms.
How much cash, how many or what type firearms was not disclosed.
Police said a door was forced open to gain entry into the business.
On Monday morning, officers went to Bellard’s Pharmacy, a few blocks from the concrete company, after a report about a broken window.
While on premises the owner discovered that the business had been burglarized, that a substantial amount of medication was taken.
Police did not say what drugs were taken.
Both business burglaries are being investigated by the detective division.
