DeVillier hands out flood assistance information
State Rep. Phillip DeVillier released the following contacts related to the flooding at the Wednesday meeting of the St. Landry Parish Council.
— St. Landry Parish residents call St. Landry Parish Government for assistance with federal assistance at 337-948-3688.
— Red Cross 1-800-RED CROSS or www.redcross.org/get-help.
— Residents that have had damages can go to www.disasterassistance.gov and pre-register with FEMA; call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362); 1-800-462-7585 for people who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY 1-800-621-3362 for people who use 711 or video relay service. These telephone numbers will operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.

— www.emergency.la.gov - up to date information on the flooding event.
— www.511la.org - DOTD updated road closure information. This will have state road closures but not necessarily all of the parish and local road closures
— If you have flood damages to your home call this number to get assistance with clean-up. This is a free service run by volunteers. By calling this number you will get on a list for assistance. Public: 800-451-1954 for help. https://www.crisiscleanup.org/
— Floods, visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS or text the word LAFLOODS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
— Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recovery.
