Eunice native retires after 20 years in Air Force

Senior Master Sgt. Travis Clark retired from the U.S. Air Force in January after 20 years of service.
Clark, a 1992 graduate of Eunice High School, is now regional project and contracts manager in support of classified programs in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.
Clark retired at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, where he was an adviser to command leadership.
Clark’s deployments included Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Spain, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He is a veteran of Operations Joint Endeavor, Allied Force, Southern Watch, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
He served for 20 years as a command and control specialist and a member of the Air Force World Class Athlete Program on the All Air Force Men’s Varsity Basketball Team.
Clark’s awards and decorations include Defense Meritorious Service Medal (Oak Leaf), Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Meritorious Unit Award, U.S. Armed Services Gold Medal Winner - Basketball, and U.S. Armed Services Silver Medal Winner- Basketball.
Clark is married to Master Sgt. Divina Clark and they have two children.
Clark is a Eunice native and is the son of Linda F. Clark and the late Goldman Arvie.
Following high school, Clark accepted a basketball scholarship to the University of Idaho prior to transferring to Pratt Community College in Pratt Kansas, where he graduated in 1994. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1995.
In 2004, he graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in education and training. In 2014 he graduated with honors from American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia, with a Masters of Arts in Homeland Security. He earned a master of arts degree in emergency management, also from American Military University.
