Fund for Baton Rouge officers, families is open for contributions

Community Foundation of Acadiana has received over $11,000 to its In the Line of Duty Fund in response to the tragic July 17 shooting of six Baton Rouge Police officers. Donations are tax-deductible and 100 percet of all contributions will be given to those officers and their families.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution is encouraged to do so by Friday. Following that date, CFA will work with the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office to distribute 100 percent of the funds received to the officers and families affected by this tragic shooting.
Donations from individuals, corporations and others may be made online at www.cfacadiana.org/InTheLineOfDuty. Checks may also be made payable and mailed to Community Foundation of Acadiana (Memo: In The Line of Duty Fund), 1035 Camellia Blvd., Suite 100, Lafayette, LA, 70508.
“This fund expresses our support of our neighbors in the Baton Rouge community, and is a strong testament to the generosity of our Acadiana community,” said President & CEO of Community Foundation of Acadiana Raymond Hebert.
