Hospice of Acadiana to hold garage sale
Hospice of Acadiana will be holding its “Gigantic Garage Sale” presented by The Acadiana Advocate at the Lafayette Event Center for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 with a $5 entry donation before 10 a.m.
All proceeds raised will go to benefit Hospice of Acadiana’s indigent patient fund, a fund that is maintained to help Hospice of Acadiana to provide services to those who cannot afford hospice care due to lack of insurance or funding. With the help of Hospice of Acadiana’s over 300 volunteers, thousands of items have been priced and packed to fill the Lafayette Event Center.
“The time and energy that these volunteers put in is invaluable to us and we are grateful to the Lafayette community for all of the donations that we have received,” said Ann Wallace, Director of Volunteer Services at Hospice of Acadiana.
Items for sale for the event will include furniture, household items, artwork, collectible, baby items, toys, glassware, kitchen items, silver, crystal, sporting goods, small appliances, garden items, rugs, lamps, jewelry, home décor, and much more.
This garage sale is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for Hospice of Acadiana and a large turnout is expected.
