Involvement grows at Keep Eunice Beautiful event

Keep Eunice Beautiful grew its list of volunteers at Friday’s Leaders Against Litter, according to Donna Baltakis, director.
There were 54 people picking up litter and 103 leaders and volunteers sign a pledge against littering, she said. There 87 people who signed the pledge last year.
The group assembled at City Hall at 8 a.m. Friday.
“We collected 30 bags of trash and 310 cigarette butts (all at the post office); and that was all just in 15 to 20 minutes,” Baltakis reported.
Baltakis thanked the board of Keep Eunice Beautiful: Jackie Vallare, Becky Pucheu, Fran Guillory, Mark Dupre, Herman and Dale Francois, David Simpson, Connie Thibodeaux, Andrea West, Karen Parker, Pam Quirk and Felician Simon. She also thanked Eunice Bulb and Blossom members Erin Jones, Melba Stelly, Coopey McDaniel, Genny Dischler and Barbara Wells.
