LSU Eunice offering language, math advanced standing exams for high school students

Louisiana State University Eunice announced the dates for advanced standing examination in French, Spanish and mathematics for high school seniors.
The advanced standing exam for mathematics will be held Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. for Math 1015 and Math 1021 or Math 1023 and 2 p.m. for Math 1022. Both exams will be given in Room 201 of the Science Building on the LSU Eunice campus.
Students taking advanced standing examinations must have ACT scores on file at LSU Eunice.
Advanced standing examinations are administered in MATH 1021 to students having an ACT composite score of 28 or greater and a math sub score of 19 or greater. Students having an ACT composite score of 28 or greater and math sub score of 23-24, may take the exam to test out of MATH 1021 or 1023. Students having an ACT composite score of 28 or greater and a math sub score of 25 or greater will receive credit in MATH 1021 and may take the exam to test out of MATH 1022 or 1023.
Degree credit will not be given for both MATH 1021 and 1023.
The advanced standing exam for French and Spanish will be at 1 p.m. on Aug. 18, in Room 147 of Manuel Hall. Students with high school credit in a foreign language may schedule an advanced standing exam in that language.
