Mardi Gras trailer registration is Saturday

The Le Vieux Mardi Gras De Cajuns is set for Feb. 9 with registration at the Northwest Community Center beginning at 6 a.m.
Registration will continue until 8 a.m.
Everyone must register in person.
To be eligible to run Mardi Gras, one has to be 18 with a driver’s license identification required- (18 to 21 years of age.)
Registration fee is $30, with traditional costumes required. No horse drawn vehicles, four wheelers or bicycles will be allowed.
Trailers will be limited to 40, with 16 association trailers, on a first-come-first serve basis. There will be a $30 fee per trailer charge. A tag will be issued. All riders on trailers or truck bed must register and pay a $30 fee.
All riders on trailers or truck bed must be dressed in traditional Mardi Gras costumes. Driver cannot consume any alcoholic beverages before or during the run, and must be 18 years of age. A registration tag must be displayed on the vehicle.
Pre-registration for trailers will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the City Hall in Eunice.
Runners will register the morning of the run at the Northwest Center. Current proof of insurance is required on tow vehicle. Trailers must not exceed 20 feet and no doubles will be allowed. No portalets or runners allowed behind trucks. Trailers are required to have a 3 foot wall around the front and sides.
Gumbo will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice.
