Frontline Youth Group garage sale set Saturday
There will be an indoor garage sale at 179 Stanford Road, in Eunice from 6:30 a.m. until noon Saaturday to benefit the Frontline Youth Group of Faith Christian Worship Center.
Money raised will be used for summer youth camp.

Krewe de Bark on Park set for Saturday at noon
The Canine Parade will be held at noon Saturday
The route will include .08 or 8/10 of a mile, beginning at Bark Avenue Pet Spa, heading west on Park, around Circle Park, then head back to the pet spa.
Walkers, strollers, wagons and hipsters are welcomed.
Register at Bark Avenue Pet Spa at 231 W. Park.
Registration fee: $5 cash per dog in advance, and $10 cash the day of the parade (from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.)
Canine costumes are required.

EMTL registration continues through Feb. 15
The Eunice Men’s Tennis League tennis registration for the spring season is underway.
Registration can be completed at the law office of Terry Hoychick, 141 S. 6th Street, with dues at $30.
A Captains meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 10.
All men 18 years or older are welcome and encouraged to j oin.
Matches are set every Monday evening for 12 weeks.

‘Genealogy 101’ Feb. 6
“Genealogy 101”, a workshop/round table, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lafayette Public Library, Downtown location, 301 W. Congress St., Lafayette.
Learn how to begin your genealogy search, bring your questions and meet others who are interested in research.

ABC to host youth retreat Monday, Tuesday
Acadian Baptist Center near Richard will host a youth Mardi Gras alternative retreat on Feb. 8-9 for grades 7-12.
Sponsored by North Eunice Baptist Church, “Carnival—Farewell to Flesh” will include Bible study by Rev. Travis Turner and worship led by Kurt Hoffpauir as well as recreational opportunities.
Cost is $45 per student including meals and lodging.

St. Mathilda to sponsor Mardi Gras Dance Friday
The St. Mathilda Church youth group parents will sponsor a Mardi Gras Dance on Friday at the Bishop Ceaser Center from 9 p.m. until midnight.
Music will be provided by Gerard Delafose & the Zydeco Gators, with admission of $10.
There will also be a Mardi Gras raffle with first, second, third prizes.

Eunice Bulb & Blossom monthly meeting Monday
The Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club will meet on Monday at 5 p.m. at the residence of Pam Quirk. This is the club’s membership tea. All members are asked to bring a finger food.

COA Mardi Gras Dance set for Monday
St. Landry Council on Aging will have its annual Mardi Gras celebration at the Northwest Community Center from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday.
Admission fee is $2 per person over 60. Anyone under 60 is required to pay $6.
There will be judging of the Mardi Gras King and Queen, the most traditional costume, male and female, and the best dancing male and female.
Music will be provided by Big J and the Zydeco Dog Pound.
Gumbo will be sold at $5 per bowl. Refreshments will be served.

KPC Ladies Auxiliary Ash Wednesday Fish Fry set
The St. Mathilda Church KPC Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor an Ash Wednesday (Feb. 10) Fish Fry fundraiser sale from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Bishop Ceaser Center.
A donation of $8 will be accepted.

LSU Eunice offers Sign Language course Feb. 17
LSU Eunice Continuing Education is offering a new leisure learning course.
Signing with Song will be an eight-week course that will use song to help introduce students to sign language.
The class will meet on Wednesdays in the Community Education Building on the campus of LSU Eunice.
The class begins Feb. 17 and ends on April 13.
Registration for the course is $45 for the general public and $40 for OLLI members.

EHS Softball Tourney senior project set Feb. 20
Eunice High seniors Nicholas Powell, Tyler Allison, Darren Serie, and Robert Dacus will sponsor a Softball Tournament as their senior project on Feb. 20 beginning at 11 a.m. at 765-899 S. Martin Luther King Drive.
All ages are invited to join, with admission $5. Refreshments will be served. Cash donations will be accepted.
