Political announcement: Imelda Allison Thomas

Imelda Allison Thomas is announcing her candidacy for the St. Landry Parish Council District 10 council position.
Thomas stated she worked for the Guillory Developmental Center for special need adults for about 25 years through St. Landry Parish School Board, Eunice Head Start teacher for 10 years, Community Action Agency for three years, and also worked for auxiliary police for a short period of time.
Thomas is a native of Eunice and a resident living in her district. She is the daughter of the late Louis Adoly Allison and Edith Guidry Allison. She is a graduate of Eunice High School, attended Southern University off campus, Louisiana State University Eunice, and Louisiana Technical College in New Iberia. She raised three children, George Thomas Jr., Ave Thomas Robinson and Titus Thomas, all of Eunice.
The election is scheduled Oct. 24.
