Prairie Acadian Culture Center schedule

The Prairie Acadian Culture Center will be open from (:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today through Saturday. The center closes on Sunday and will reopen for Monday and Tuesday.
The center’s events include:

Saturday
The morning class theme for kids (Explore and Restore Class) will be making real capuchons and masks, from 10 to noon.
The Cajun Conversations class theme will be translating the various versions of the Mardi Gras song.
Ken Stewart, John Prestiguacomo and Jim Gaspard will rovide music here from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Cajun French Music Association members will offer dancing lessons.
The food demo at 4 will be sampling and critiquing boudin from 5 different Eunice locations.
The band at the Liberty is Ryan Brunet and Les Ferailles

Monday, Lundi Gras
Dr. Barry Ancelet will give his annual presentation on rural Mardi Gras at noon.
Following Ancelet’s presentation, coffee and King Cake sampling in kitchen, with a demonstration on how to make-King Cake. There will be a short presentation on King Cakes.

Tuesday, Mardi Gras
The center is open.
