Traffic stop yields suspected synthetic weed
A routine traffic stop, if there is such a thing at 2 a.m., yield a large amount of what police suspect was synthetic marijuana Saturday.
Records indicate a vehicle was pulled over at 1:51 a.m. at the corner of C.C. Duson and Laurel in the heart of the city.
Officers noted that a large amount of paraphernalia and suspected narcotics was retrieved from an occupant in the car.
It was also noted that the passenger in the front seat pulled a large amount of suspected narcotics from a clear plastic bag which she retrieved from her genitals area.
Officers seized the paraphernalia and suspected synthetic weed.
No arrests were made, pending further investigation as well as laboratory analysis of the materials.
