Suspect may have been involved in robbery at Ville Platte

A suspect in Monday's armed robbery of Advance America in Eunice has been identified following a robbery and car chase in Ville Platte. 
The driver of the car has been arrested and is in custody in Ville Platte. 
The passenger is still at large and is believed to be the suspect in the Eunice robbery. 
Ariel Alexander Harmon, of Crowley, has been identified by Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot as the suspect.
Anyone seeing Harmon is asked to contact the Eunice Police Department at 337-457-2626 or the Ville Platte Police Department.  He should be considered armed.

Monday's story
A worker at Advance America Cash Advance, located in the Plaza Acadienne shopping center, was robbed at gunpoint late Monday morning, and local law enforcement is searching for the suspect, who fled on foot.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the call about the robbery came in at 11:30 a.m.
"The suspect was armed with a handgun, and he walked into Advance America Cash Advance and demanded the worker empty the registers," he said. "He then forced the woman into the back area of the business and told her to open the safe."
Fontenot said the suspect is a young black male about 6 feet tall, and he was wearing a brown hoodie and possibly black pants. The suspect fled the scene, headed north down the old Basile Road (La. 757), with an undisclosed amount of money.
"Officers searched the area, and tracking dogs were brought in the from the sheriff's office," Fontenot said."The dogs lost the scent around West Magnolia and Dudley streets."
He added, "The Advance American Cash Advance worker is okay but shaken up."
