A campus ministry at the Louisiana State University Eunice helps shape the lives of students, but also builds a culture to serve the community in the future said Joseph Nelson, campus minister at the LSUE Catholic Student Center.

A summary judgement on the use of Smooth Ride Home tax money will be sought by Parish President Bill Fontenot.

Feral hogs caused at least $30 million in damage to crops on Louisiana farms in 2013, and Perchville farmer Kurt Sittig estimates he loses anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 or more each year to the prolific animal that has rapidly spread to every corner of the state.
