Speed a factor in almost one-third of all U.S. highway fatalities in the U.S., data shows

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speed was a factor in at least 29 percent of all traffic fatalities in the U. S. in 2013 and contributed to the deaths of at least 9,613 people nationwide.
