Louisiana Highway Safety Commission

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speed was a factor in at least 29 percent of all traffic fatalities in the U. S. in 2013 and contributed to the deaths of at least 9,613 people nationwide.

Motorists throughout the state will notice a heightened law Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Commercial enforcement presence over the July 4th holiday, a Louisiana Highway Safety Commission news release stated.

In two seat belt campaigns, Eunice police found 225 seat belt violations, according to police records.
The campaigns were Buckle Up In Your Truck April 24 to 30 and “Click It Or Ticket May 18 through 31.
