CROWLEY – Services are Thursday for businessman and philanthropist Raymond Hensgens. He died Oct. 29 at age 81.
He was a former minor league baseball player and co-founder of G&H Seed Company. He was active in a number of professional, civic and church organizations.
Survivors include his wie Catherine and four children.
Arrangements are by Geesey-Ferguson.
NEW ORLEANS – Services for inmate rehab expert Dr. Robert Roberts will be Nov. 24. He died Oct. 14 at age 70.
He practiced dentistry in Shreveport for 20 years before earning a master’s of social work degree at Tulane and founding Project Return of Louisiana, an internationally recognized prison reentry program aimed at effectively breaking cycles of crime. He was a clinical professor at Tulane Medical Center’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine when he founded Project Return.
Survivors include four sons.
