Two, unbelted, killed when pickup leaves road, overturns

Two Bunkie men died when a truck they were in left La. Highway 29 south of town, hit a utility pole and overturned.
State Police said Marvin B. Overbey, 42, and Gary W. Ogea, 50, were not wearing seat belts.
A third person in the truck, Vickie M. Kelone, 55, of Bunkie, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries in the accident, authorities reported.
Overbey was driving a 2002 Dodge pickup south on La. 29, and Ogea and Kelone were passengers in his truck.
Overbey lost control of the vehicle about 10 p.m. Wednesday, went off the right side of the roadway, hit the utility pole and overturned, police said.
Alcohol usage is a suspected factor, police said.
