Winter storm conditions expected

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a winter storm advisory for the entire Acadiana entire region.
Winter precipitation is expected to mix in with light rain as early as tonight, especially in southeast Texas and parts of southwest and central Louisiana.
The trend is less likely in south central Louisiana tonight, but is expected to be a possibility during the morning hours on Friday. I
n general, one half to one inch of a snow and sleet mix is expected between midnight tonight and noon Friday, with the higher amounts being seen in southeast Texas and western sections of Louisiana.
High temperatures today and Friday will be in the 40s; lows will be near 25.
