Sex offender charged with illegal computer activitiy

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said, “Registered sex offender, Adam Hayes Shilow, 33 of 210 South St. George, Eunice was arrested for indecent behavior with juveniles, pornography involving juveniles, computer aided solicitation of a minor, unlawful use of social networking and failure to comply as a sex offender.”
Captain Vizena said, “During a joint investigation between the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Attorney General’s Office, it was discovered that Shilow was allegedly having illegal communication with a 12 year old juvenile in New York.
“Investigators were able to confirm that Shilow had seven active profiles on social networking sites. This activity is prohibited under the terms and conditions of his release and probation, in addition to the sex offender conditions placed on him.”
“It is very important for all parents to routinely monitor their children’s social networking sites. If you believe Shilow contacted your child on any social networking site, you are urged to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office at 948-6516,” Vizena added.
Shilow is being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail with no bond.
