McKinley 'Mac' Ceasar
McKinley “Mac” Ceasar died on the evening of Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the Assumption Cemetery with Father David Hebert Celebrant.
He was a retired rice farmer and a He was a member of Knights of Peter Claver.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Ceasar and his wife, Geraldine of Missouri City, Texas and Dennis Ceasar and his wife, Jackie of Carencro; his daughter, Patricia Celestine of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Ceasar and wife, Marcelene of Lake Charles and Jimmy Ceasar and wife, Ethel of Atlanta, Ga.; his sister, Laura Simien and husband, Lernest of Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Willis Ceasar; four sons, Paul, Warren, McKinley, Jr. and Ricky Ceasar; his parents, Joseph and Mary Fontenot Ceasar; three brothers, Norris, Nelson, and Rodney Ceasar; two sisters, Delores Hall and Lillian Matthews.
Visitation will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Monday, February 17th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father David Hebert will recite a Rosary at 10:00 am Monday morning. Arrangements are by Ardoin's.
