Soaked courir still out in country, parade still set for 3 p.m.

The Eunice Courir de Mardi Gras was wending its way along La. 29 at 1 p.m., slogging through wind, rain and ice on the annual Fat Tuesday run.
A 3 p.m. parade in downtown Eunicewill hail the runners return to the city as they head to a courir-ending gumbo dinner.
Contrary to reports published at various media web sites the parade has NOT been cancelled due to inclement conditions, according to Deputy Chief of Police Vardon Guillory.
