Eunice Mardi Gras 2014

Eunice's "Le View Mardi Gras De Cajuns" annual run went on as scheduled Tuesday despite freezing off-and-on rain and some sleeting weather conditions. The masked Mardi Gras runners, walkers, wagon riders, horseback riders passed through North Eunice countryside making a few stops along the way, throwing Mardi Gras beads to viewers, catching chickens for traditional afternoon Gumbo, and making their end route parading through downtown Second St. Eunice.
Last year's registered Mardi Gras run, which included horseback and wagons, numbered at 800, as opposed to this year's registration of 400, according to Captaine' Patrick Frey.
"Despite the numbers, and weather conditions... we passed a great time!" Frey said.
