Civic leader
SHREVEPORT – Services for civic leader Lloyd Childers will be Wednesday. She died March 8 at age 77.
She was instrumental in the development of the first Red River Revel and was state treasurer for The Daughters of American Revolution. She was active in the Republican Party and a delegate to its 1968 convention.
Survivors include her husband, Lt. Col. John Childers, Sr., USAF Ret., two sons and four step-children.

Methodist minister
NEW ORLEANS _ Services for retired United Methodist minister Abraham Davis were March 10. He died March 4 at age 79.
He was a Louisiana Annual Conference pastor at several churches over 50 years and was pastor of First Street UMC for 31 of those years.
Survivors include four children.
