Body found along La. 13 just south of Eunice

Police believe a body found shortly before 2 p.m. Monday on La. 13 in Acadia Parish just south of Eunice to be that of a man reported missing since last Thursday.
L.J. Walker was reported by his family to have last been seen in the area of the city west of La. 13, not that far from where the body was discovered Monday afternoon.
According to witnesses on the scene, family members reported that 66-year old Eunice man suffered from Alzeihmer’s and possibly dementia as a result. It is believed that Walker wandered from his apartment complex on South Aymond Street on Thursday.
Investigators remain at the scene where the body was found in the tree line near the railroad tracks and drainage ditch among debris.
