Former judge, legislator
BATON ROUGE – Services are Monday for retired judge and former legislator Eugene McGehee. He died April 11 at age 85.
He was a state represented for 12 years (three terms) before being elected a 19th Judicial District judge. He was a member of the LSU Cadets of the Ole War Skule Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife Merrelle, a son and three daughters.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
Catholic educator
NEW ORLEANS – Services for Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Family Sister/Dr. Mary Martin (nee Gloria Martin of Grand Coteau) will be Monday. She died April 7 at age 74.
She was an educator, catechist and retreat director. He had served schools in several cities, include Lafayette, Abbeville, Marksville and New Orleans. She was former director of the Institute of Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University and director archives for Xavier and Loyola Universities.
Survivors include a brother and three sisters.
Arrangements are by Majestic.
Dentist
BATON ROUGE – Services for long-time dentist Dr. Allen Black will be Wednesday. He died April 11 at age 64.
He practiced in Baton Rogue for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife Claudia and two children.
Church of God in Christ bishop
BATON ROUGE – Services for Bishop James Gordon will be Thursday. He died April 9 at age 77.
He was pastor of Gordon-Feitus-Lazard Cathedral Church of God in Christ for 38 years. He also served as jurisdictional prelate of the Louisiana East jurisdiction for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife Janice Gordon and a daughter.
Physician
BATON ROUGE – Services for Dr. Michael Howard will be Tuesday. He died April 8 at age 51.
He was a general practitioner.
Survivors include his wife, Laural and two daughters.

Retired Nazarene minister'
BATON ROUGE – Services for retired Nazarene minister the Rev. Roy Crum will be Monday. He died April 10 at ge 83.
He was a former Church of Nazarene pastor at churches in Jonesboro and Denham Springs, as well as Natchez, Miss. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife Mary, two sons and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
